The High-Jacks plays 50s rock n roll / rockabilly and country. Per-Erik Jonsson debuted in a Swedish TV-show when he was only 11 years old in 1974. In 1978 his second album Thunderbird Rock was a great success with his own title song hitting 4 on the European top twenty! (The song is re-recorded 2007 by the High-Jacks for a summer CD-single release).
During his long carrier as a solo artist Per-Erik has also been working with many different bands and artists like: Red Hot Max, Country Minstrels, Freetown Highway, Wildfire Willie & The Ramblers, The Go Getters, Huelyn Duvall, Sleepy LaBeaf, Orville Nash, Rosie Flores, Connie Smith among others and of course around 200 gigs with Wanda Jackson. Together with bass players Anders Thomasson and Alf Östlund he was the founder of Square Man Stan & His Nuclear Rockets with the one-only song Ride My Rocket /Tail Records hitting the charts with great success! In his own recording studio during the 90s he was the sound architect of many bands/artists for instance, The Go Getters, 42nd Street and Phil Trigwell.
Per-Erik Jonsson is the King of Boogie Woogie and Rock N Roll!! Nina was the singer in different bands in Sweden she performed first time 1970 at the age of 5 years. She has been influenced by artists like Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, Janis Martin and Wanda Jackson. Her passion for old-time country and rockabilly has in The High-Jacks found its native playground! On stage she is a natural born entertainer. 2006, 2007 & 2008 has been good years for the band with lots of gigs, and it seems like 2009 will get even better! Spring/Summer 2009 a new album will be released!!
