Shaggy, the 70's progressive rockband, who's vinyl album "Lessons for Beginners" now is valued to over $300, reforms and releases new album in 2013.
In 1972 Shaggy was formed by Thomas Ryan, Fidde Rognås, Thomas Engström and Jan Fretman.
Later that year drummer Kurt Kästner joined. The band played numorous gigs all over Sweden and won a lot of respect for their originality.
In 1976 they recorded their first and only album "Lessons for Beginners" at "Tal & Ton" studios in Gothenburg. Later that year the opened for British rockglam band The Sweet at Scandinavium in Gothenburg in front of 5000 people.
In 1978 Shaggy split up, only to reform again in 2008 and a desicion to record many of the songs written in the late 70's was made.
Since the members are located in different arias, the recording process has taken quite some time but they now see the possibility of releaseing an album.
